Ubuntu If at some point you installed or tried to install the red hat cluster suite and/or clvm and you now can't remove clvm here is a fix.
CODE:
-
$sudo rm /etc/init.d/clvm
-
$sudo apt-get remove clvm -f --purge
I found this in the ubuntu forums.

Tips N Tricks While updating Wired HowTo Guide Linux Style I came across G-Script which is a collection of scripts for use in Gnome's Nautilus file manager.
And as things go I was searching for a way to add shred to the context-menu of Nautilus just like you can with Thunar plug-ins and ended up finding a new toy to tinker with.
A nautilus script is just an executable shell script (usually bash) that is placed in a special scripts directory so that the Nautilus graphical shell can find it. This is a really neat function of Nautilus, because it allows you to extend the functionality of the file browser to do just about anything. ~ G-Script FAQ

Tips N Tricks This months Wired magazine contains a 42 page pullout titled "HowTo: A Step By Step Guide Tp Making The Most of Your Digital Life". Wired is the hip cutting edge magazine of our generation or at least I though it was until this special issue. The HowTo guide has eveything covered like how to Liveblog an Event or Foil a Snooping Boss and how to Recover Tunes form Your iPod just to name a few.
So what's the problem?
Anything that requires software is demonstrated for either Mac or Windows. How hip and cutting edge can a digital technology rag be if they aren't even mentioning Linux? For gods sakes my Mother-in-Law can use Xubuntu!!

Tips N Tricks While I'm at work I use Windows. While I'm at home I use Linux.
While I'm at work I'm usually working. While I'm at home I'm usually working on my next Linux or Programming HOWTO.
Well it's been a slow copule of weeks at work and I don't very work to do that is urgent and I'd really like to crank out some Linux howto's but it's kind of hard to do on a Windows PC.
Then I discovered Microsoft's VirtualPC 2004 which is FREE and now I'm posting this from Firefox running on Xubuntu via VirtualPC.
So if or when you're stuck on a Windows PC and you want to run a Linux LiveCD this article's for you.
