Xubuntu 6.10 Beta is Out

As of Xubuntu 6.10 Beta came out last week (2006-09-28) .

Right out of the box I didn’t find anthing really new to report on. The default fonts look a little cleaner due to X.org 7.1 and it still lacks support for BCM4318 AirForce Wireless Card .

I checked xubuntu.org and they haven’t updated the site since the 6.06 release of Xubuntu back on 2006-06-01.

Anyway Xubuntu still rocks my Gateway 6440MX Laptop and with continued community support Xubuntu can only get better.

    What do you mean there is no support for BCM4318 AirForce Wireless Card?
    The driver is built into the kernel since 6.06 (Dapper)
    You simply need to install the firmware
